Also for the first 2 weeks don't forget to register your child at the municipal hall. You also need to asks for a pink card for your baby(福祉医療費受給資格)fukushi iryouhi jukyuu shikaku to receive the free medical and medicine for your baby everytime you go to the clinic or hospital in Japan.
